One of the cities in Los Angeles County, California which is situated in the center of San Gabriel Valley area is the city of Baldwin Park. This city has an estimated population of 75,800. During the time of the San Gabriel Mission, this city started as a portion of the area where cattles grazed. After a period of time it part of the region became the property of Rancho Azusa de Dalton and the Rancho La Puente and in 1880, the neighborhood became famous as the Vineland. But in 1906 its name was changed into Baldwin Park where it was named after Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin. This city is also the birthplace of the In-N-Out burgers. Some restaurants which were established way back 1948 can still be found in the city as part of their In-N-Out's history. |
