The Canyon county together with the Valencia, Newhall, and Saugus county came together in 1987 to make the city of Santa Clarita in California. This neighborhood in Los Angeles County has an estimated population of 59,530 people. This county is the birthplace of Placerita Canyon Nature Center where a historical site is located and is called "Oak of the Golden Dream". It is in 1842 when the California's first gold was discovered. The region has two local government agencies which serves the community, the Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 104 and the Engine and Paramedic Squad.
