Dana Point

Dana Point is a city in the southern part of Orange County in California. As of the Millennium Statistical studies the area population was approximately 35,110 which is ranked as the 26th most famous city against 34 other cities in the nation. The city has limited ports within the Coast of Orange County, with immediate access through State Route 1. The district is a hotspot for surfers and home of Killer Diana, a legendary surf break. The city was entitled from the name Richard Henry Dana Jr., the writer of the book “Two Years before the Mast”, which involves the definition or character of the area. Dana is characterizes as California’s only romantic spot, together with the neighboring San Juan Capistrano. Though Dana characterizes the port as poor but this is the well-accessible area and currently an advance harbor includes a model of his ship, the Pilgrim. Dana Point is considered as the 189th historical landmark in California. In 1990, a specimen from an extremely rare megamouth shark was captured at Dana Port. In 1923, a publisher from the Los Angeles Times, together with the director of a railway company, established a real estate group, Hollywood Hills. This was managed by a prominent Los Angeles builder that time. In 1926, the assembly of the Dana Point Syndicate encouraged the major hitters like company presidents, movie producers, and real estate investors in buying 1,388 acres of land, presently called Headlands.
