Garden Grove is a city in the northern region of Orange County, California. As of this year the approximate population was 174,715. State Route 22 or Garden Grove Freeway is the passage through the city up to the east-west. Outside Southern California, the city produces religious shows and is famously the place of Robert H. Schuller’s Crystal Cathedral. The city had a definite community along Western Garden Grove. Garden Grove was established in 1874 by Alonzo Cook as well as the school department and Methodist church. In 1905 until the appearance of the railroad the area are still the small provincial crossroads. The handrail connection is the reason for the city’s prosperity in. Long Beach earthquake ruined most of the area’s main businesses and killed one person during 1933. The post-World War II crash in 1956 manages the city to its dynamic growth and Garden Grove was organized as a city. In 1960, the city population increased to 85,000 and in 1970 it became 120,000. During the 70s and 80, a meaningful Asian population, which is mainly the Vietnamese and Koreans, started to stay in the vicinity. In the current years, the entertainment and tourists spot was Harbor Boulevard, which has nine high-rise hotels. The famous Garden Grove accommodates actors such as Steve Martin, Steve Fossett and famous baseball players like Lenny Dykstra and Alan Trammell. Sublime used the name of the city in one of their songs.
