Huntington Beach is a seashore city in the Orange County in the Southern California, United States. As of the Millennium Statistical studies the area population is about 189,594. It is bounded by the Pacific Ocean on the southwest, northwest of Seal Beach, east of Costa Mesa, southeast of Newport Beach, north of Westminster, and northeast of Fountain Valley. Huntington Beach is famous because of its 8.5 mile beach, mild climate, and finest surfing areas. The waves are rarely natural because of its natural edge-circulation of a wonderful ocean in the Catalina Island, and waves from beyond hurricanes. The area was mainly inhabited by the Tongva people. In 1784 the European agreement can be locate to a Spanish soldier which is Manuel Nieto, who accepts a Spanish land grant of 300,000 acres as a price for his military service and to advocate agreement in Alta California. The western area of Nietos decreased due to arguments with the Mission San Gabriel, but he remained thousands of acres expanding from the hills north of Whittier, Fullerton, and Brea, south of Pacific Ocean, west of Los Angeles River, and east of Santa Ana River. The Major roadway of Huntington Beach is Beach Boulevard which is mainly a cattle way for the major industry of the Rancho. |
