La Habra is a city placed crossing the northern area of Orange County, California, United States. As of the statistical studies 2 years ago the city had a population of approximately 62,636. La Habra Heights is found in the northern part of La Habra, in the Los Angeles County. During the time of ranchos, the cattle and horses would run along the hills of Southern California. A woman named Mariano Reyes Roldan was rewarded with 6,698 acres of land which she named Rancho Cañada de La Habra. In 1839, the name was associated with “Pass through the Hills”, which is the pass to the north that was founded by Spanish explorers. Abel Stearns bought the Rancho La Habra in 1880s and afterward a big flood came, destroy the area and brought misery to the ranchers those results to bankruptcy to different cattle ranchers. The city was united on January 20, 1925, with a total population of 3,000 at that time. In 1926, the police force was originated. La Habra penetrated the difference of being the biggest center for avocadoes in Southern California during 1928. In 1930 the Fire Department was created followed by the main City Hall in 1935. The population increased to most likely 5,000 in the year 1950. The Civic Center takes took shape during the County Library existence and was to be followed by the current Administrations Building built in 1969. |
